Something to report!
Jan. 28th, 2009 08:16 pmHi! Time for my once-in-awhile post (which means I've actually done something that's worth mentioning).
A co-worker of mine is doing an artshow at the Circle Cinema this weekend and I've got a piece that will be displayed. The show is called "Personality of Cult", and this is actually the second year that he's done it. The theme is to do a piece of art from a movie. He asked me if I wanted to enter last year, but I was swamped, and didn't have the time (wanted to do FORBIDDEN PLANET--darn!). This year the theme is movie franchises and I didn't think I'd really have time to do do anything this year either, but at pretty much the last minute I came up with something.
Anyway, like I said the show is "Personality of Cult" and it opens this Friday at the Circle Cinema here in Tulsa at 7:00 p.m. There will be an auction and the pieces will be on display for a month (if I remember correctly). I don't think there will be an entry fee just to look at the artshow. Oh, and he's going to be taking a few pieces (including mine) to do a spot on the Channel 8 Morning show (it's so hard to actually call it news) on Friday morning.
So, with no further ado ('ceptin' for the thanks to my lovely wife for helping me get the picture on my LJ), I present you with my piece, which is titled:
