I finished reading NATION, Terry Pratchett's latest novel, this weekend. If there's anyone out there who is thinking, "But it's not a Discworld novel!", shame on you. It is every bit as good as a Discworld novel, and I would rank it (as writing) amongst the best of those--and that of course, is saying something. NATION is saying something too. Pratchett is at his best when he's making you laugh and think at the same time and this book is loaded with those moments. I think of him as the Mark Twain of our age. I believe that this book is aimed a a "young adult" audience. Hopefully a lot of people will consider themselves young enough to read this awesome book.

Read it. Enjoy. You only get to do something for the first time once, so I already envy you.
